Emmalee Update

I decided I would post an update on each of the kids one at a time.  It seems a bit less intimidating that way!  Since we just celebrated Em's birthday, I thought I would start with her!

I know many have seen this picture, but it is just too cute of my little bug!  This is she and I at lunch for her birthday!  I cannot believe my baby is THREE!!  Time has gone by too fast!

Emmalee is doing so good!  Her favorite color is purple and loves anything girly!  She is such a priss!!  She loves having her hair done and putting bows in it so she looks "so beautiful!"  She is such a little mom already and loves to play with her baby, Julia.  She is also the sweetest cousin to Brindi's little guy, Kasten.  She is always in the middle of playing house and being the helper!  She and Porter are the best of friends, and play so well.  It has been interesting this last month as Porter has been gone in the mornings at preschool.  But, she is beginning to gain a bit more independence and creativity on her own, and truly becoming one of the silliest characters!

Learning to ride bike all by herself!

So, Porter played t-ball this last summer and his dad paid for the registration fee.
I had Porter call his dad to say thanks.  After they were done talking, Emmalee said she wanted to talk to her dad.  I heard her say,

"Thanks for paying for Porter to play t-ball.  Now, can you pay for me to
             be a ballerina?!"

I thought I was going to die!  I was laughing so hard!  And, so this fall, I had to figure out how to pay for my little miss to be a ballerina!  She loves it!  And, I am like a little girl in the candy shop while watching and being in the studio!

She is just so silly and becoming very quickly my little diva!  My, how time flies!!!!

We are alive!!!

Hello to anyone who may still check to see if we are still alive...  We are!  I have thought a number of times that I need to start to blog again, but haven't done well following through.  I will do better!  Life has been a roller coaster, but we continue to learn and grow and move forward....

So, I am taking baby steps and will try to update!  Here we go:

McKenzi is in the FIRST GRADE!  I can hardly believe my little princess will be 7 this year, seems like we just had her!  She is doing so well.  She loves school and has the most wonderful (and patient and energetic!!) teacher.  He is amazing!  Her vocabulary continues to grow and become a little bit easier to understand.  She is still the most loving thing ever and gives the sweetest hugs!

Porter started Preschool this year and loves that he is so big!  He now asks when he will be big enough to start therapy like Kenz.  He is slowly starting to understand his older sister is a little bit different, and not everyone goes to therapy.  He is all boy and has more energy that anyone from sun up until it goes to bed!  He is also becoming such a good helper.

Emmalee is the silliest thing I know!  She and I are spending mornings together and loving it!  Her favorite thing to do is play baby and everything in the world is one.  And if there is not anything around, we carry a pretend one!  She is as sassy as can be and loves to be all dolled up and "so pretty" everyday!

I am continually blessed daily.  We have moved to a small apartment (yeah, a year ago!) on the other side of town and I have found love and support in our ward there.  I would have never imagined I would be able to handle them alone at church, but we are getting there and have been blessed to move into this ward.  I am again learning that when I follow Heavenly Father and live His plan, it works out better!

Pictures to come, but I wanted to say hi and let you know we are doing well...  Hope this finds everyone else the same!

So cute!

A little comment, I want to remember, and one I thought many, okay all, could giggle at...

We finished reading the Book of Mormom this week.  After I ended, and closed by copy, Porter shut his copy and loudly said, "and they lived happily ever after..."

I wish it was that easy!  :)

Hello World...

I have been trying to find a cute picture for the past little while, but am getting tired and finding I am fighting more with my computer than I would like.  I will try again tomorrow.  I just wanted to leave a note letting everyone know we are still here and getting along.

Life is crazy and my three little muglets do not let me feel sorry for us or get down for very long.  I am so grateful to have them in my life and be able to giggle, cry, read, play, etc. with them every single day.  There is not a day that goes by that I do not count my blessings and smile when I realize how blessed I really am.

To friends and family who have held our hands the past year, thank you.  It truly has been a trying one.  I look back at the last 12 months and am so grateful for the prayers, words of encouragement, hugs, and support, and am so grateful.  I truly do know that many have been sent to help us get through this.

I am so grateful for the best mom and dad in the world!  And a brother and sister who have loved and held me up, sometimes every day.  Their acts do not go unnoticed and I am forever grateful.  I am grateful for their sweethearts as well, the hugs and kind words are so appreciated.

To a wonderful family-in-law who I will always love and cherish.  Their support and willingness to help out when needed as been such a strength.  They have continued to keep us as part of their family and I am so blessed.

I just want the world to know that life is okay.  Some days are harder than others, and some days seem so long.  But, I am literally carried daily by those around me.  I know Heavenly Father has placed me perfectly to be with those to get through this.  I would not ever imagined this is where I would be, but I am learning to be grateful for the lessons.

And, someday, I hope I can look back and understand.

Love you all, thanks for your support.

Puppet Show!

So, to update quickly...

We have been blessed with the opportunity to rent a home near my parents.  It is in the ward I grew up in and allows for so much space, really!  It is for sale, so I know it won't be forever, but for now we are enjoying the space and loving all of the room and fun things we can do.  One favorite thing is putting on puppet shows.  So funny!  This is one of the favorite places to sit, fish from, perform from, etc.

We are loving it!  And grateful to call it home while we get to!

Hello!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SEUSS!

This past Halloween, we dressed up as characters from The Cat in the Hat.  It was one of my favorite books when I was little, and I am blessed to have mischevious and trouble-making kids!  I found it on my phone and decided I should post it.  They turned out so cute and loved wearing their funny "hats" all night!

And good timing as it was Dr. Suess' birthday yesterday...

McKenzi, Thing 1;  Emmalee, The Cat in the Hat;  Porter, Thing 2

And...

This is why I usually help the kids pick out their clothes for the day.  This is what we wore yesterday for the better part of the day.  I told them to go change out of their "jammies" and this is what they came down in.  Silly!  Silly!  Silly!
